Redang trip again

Year 2004

Redang trip again... still remember, my first first time visit Redang was in year 2004 with my high school friend and we stay in Perhentian island, but we do visit Redang and Lang Tengah island, really unforgettable snorkeling trip. I saw different kind of marine fish, I saw nemo, big turtle at Blue Coral, baby shark at Redang and big shark at Perhentian shark-point wo... fantastic snorkeling trip... really addicted on it. But during meal time... oh no trouble... it’s not included meal... oh... god...

Year 2006

My second time was in year 2006 with my uncle, cousin and friend. We stay in Redang Beach Resort, awesome resort and friendly staff. The 3 day 2 nights snorkeling package was included meal as well. 4 meals per day wo... breakfast, lunch, tea-break and buffer or bbq dinner, and RBR do have open air disco too... not bad loz... but just a 3 day 2 nights trip is not enough at all.

Year 2009

Redang trip again... with my uncle, aunty, cousin sister and cousin brother, in May 2009, 4 day 3 nights at Redang Beach Resort, still the same... Redang scenery, entertainment and staff are awesome but not snorkeling trip.... ar.... why... I should try out scuba diving, wasted the opportunity ar..... maybe, next time. Next time I should try out scuba diving....

Penang Trip

Two day one night Penang trip, on 31st of May 2008, my friend and I went to Penang. Penang is a state in Malaysia, and located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, by the Strait of Malacca. Penang is the second smallest state in Malaysia after Perlis, and the eighth most populous.

My first time drive to Penang, around 3.30 am, my friend and I depart from Subang Tol, and around 7.30 am, we arrived at Penang Bridge. The purpose to Penang is to visit few places, and to collect and return my graduation stuff. During this trip, we visited Gurney Drive at George Town, and Kek Lok Si Temple somewhere near Air Hitam, Batu Feringgi, and Komtar. We stay at The Gurney Resort Hotel & Residences at Gurney Drive.

The Gurney Resort Hotel & Residences is a sea-front resort cum business and entertainment hotel. It is located along the renowned tourist belt of Gurney Drive, closest to the new Central Business District and is less than five minutes away from all major shopping complexes and corporate towers.

The Gurney Suite Rooms with awesome sea-view and are very spacious being almost double the size of conventional hotels. All suites are stylishly decorated in resort style and are equipped with exceptional amenities and conveniences such as water massage jacuzzi, washing machine, dining table and facilities, fridge, living room, 2 cable TV channels, and high speed internet access.

For the active ones, there is the Recreational Park-an acre of elevated fun-themed park. For watery fun, there are adult swimming pool, children wave pool, water slides, lazy river ride and lots of waterfalls. For fitness-oriented activities, there are archery, beach volleyball, gymnasium, table tennis, sauna and steam bath. And for fun-oriented activities, there are pool tables, foosballs, board games, darts, craft and workshop by the poolside.

Redang Island

I love island. I had been to few islands, Pattaya, Bali, Langkawi, Perhentian, Lang Tengah, and Redang Island. Redang Island is one of my favors island. Redang Island is one of the largest islands off the east coast of Malaysia. It is a popular holiday island for Malaysians and foreign tourist. Redang Island is one of nine islands, which form a marine park, and which offer snorkeling and diving opportunities.

It’s good that Malaysia government has run Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia program to attract more tourists to visit Malaysia, especially Malaysia Island. But I wonder... why the governments destroy a new resort building in Redang Island, and why they destroy the new resort building during the summer season? Are u kidding me.... it’s definitely affected the tourists and the image of the state and the country as well. What is the purpose of promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia program?

However, destroy a new resort in Redang Island is illogical, come on... since the Redang Beach Resort build extra resort rooms for the tourists and to attract more tourist during the summer season. Why destroy the resort building? It’s because Redang Beach Resort breaks the government policy or didn’t own a permit or certificate to operate or its illegal building or what ever. Come on, destroy a new resort building didn’t help Malaysia earn a single cents or didn’t bring any benefit to the country. Destroy a new resort building in an island is unreasonable. Why not just make a win win situation, so that both party get what their want and we as a tourist we can enjoy it.
