Business Cards

Business cards are also known as name cards. Business cards are cards bearing business information about a company or an individual. They are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. A business card typically includes the giver's name, company affiliation (usually with a logo) and contact information such as street addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and website. Traditionally many cards were simple black text on white stock. Today a professional business card will sometimes include one or more aspects of striking visual design. In additional, business cards are frequently used during sales calls (visits) to provide potential customers with a means to contact the business or representative of the business.

Shayne Ward - No Promises

Hey baby, when we are together, doing things, that we love.
Every time you're near I feel like I’m in heaven, feeling high
I don’t want to let go, girl.
I just need you to know girl.

I don’t wanna run away, baby you’re the one I need tonight,
No promises.
Baby, now I need to hold you tight, I just wanna die in your arms...

Here tonight

Hey baby, when we are together, doing things, that we love.
Every time you're near I feel like I’m in heaven, feeling high
I don’t want to let go, girl.
I just need you to know girl.

I don’t wanna run away, baby you’re the one I need tonight,
No promises.
Baby, now I need to hold you tight, I just wanna die in your arms...

I don’t want to run away, I want to stay forever, thru Time and Time...
No promises

I don’t wanna run away, I don’t wanna be alone
No Promises
Baby, now I need to hold you tight, now and forever my love

No promises

I don’t wanna run away, baby you’re the one I need tonight,
No promises.
Baby, now I need to hold you tight, I just wanna die in your arms...

I don’t wanna run away, baby you’re the one I need tonight,
No promises.
Baby, now I need to hold you tight, I just wanna die in your arms...

Here tonight.

Dido - White Flag

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you or tell you that.
But if I didn't say it well I'd still have felt it,
where's the sense in that
I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were but

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be

I know I left too much mess and destruction to come back again
And I caused but nothing but trouble,
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over" then I'm sure that that makes sense but

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be

And when we meet, which I'm sure we will
All that was there, will be there still
I'll let it pass, and hold my tongue
And you will think, that I've moved on.....

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be.

Studio photos

First time takes indoor studio photo at “B Studio” in Kuala Lumpur. This “B Studio” is owned by my aunt friend. Some of my friends said very nice. Of course nice la… if not why their all call it studio photo. Some of my friends said the photos not look like me, what do you think? Do you think its look likes a supermodel haha…

During the photo shooting, first of all, the make-up artist definitely will help us to make-up and the hair stylish will help us to set our hair. After that, we need to dress up. During the photo shooting, the photographer assistance will teach us to post and the photographer definitely will call us to smile naturally lor... After the photo shooting, for sure their will use Adobe Photoshop software to retouch all the photos hahaha… Therefore, the studio photos look nice and perfect.

However, my first time takes indoor studio photo is for my aunt beauty center purpose, and I’m going to plan to take a personal studio photo soon.

Siti Nurhaliza - Bukan Cinta Biasa

Begitu banyak cerita
Atas sebab ada duka
Cinta yang ingin ku tulis
Bukanlah cinta biasa

Dua keyakinan beza
Masaalah pun takkan sama
Ku tak ingin dia ragu
Mengapa mereka selalu bertanya

Cintaku bukan di atas kertas
Cintaku getaran yang sama
Tak perlu di paksa
Tak perlu di cari
Kerna ku yakin ada jawabnya...ohhh

Andai ku bisa merubah semua
Hingga tiada orang terluka
Tapi tak mungkin,
Ku tak berdaya
Hanya yakin menunggu
Jawabnya…

Janji terikat setia
Masa mengupas segala
Mungkin dia kan berlalu
Ku tak mahu mereka tertawa

Diriku hanya insan biasa
Miliki naluri yang sama
Tak ingin berpaling
Tak ingin berganti
Jiwa ku sering saja berkata..ohh

Andai ku mampu mengulang semula
Ku pasti tiada yang curiga
Kasih kan hadir
Tiada terduga
Hanya yakin menunggu
Jawapan...

Cintaku bukan di atas kertas
Cintaku getaran yang sama
Tak perlu di paksa
Tak perlu di cari
Kerna ku yakin ada jawabnya...ohhh

Andai ku bisa merubah semua
Hingga tiada orang terluka
Tapi tak mungkin
Ku tak berdaya
Hanya yakin menunggu
Jawabnya…ohhh

Diriku hanya insan biasa
Miliki naluri yang sama
Tak ingin berpaling
Tak ingin berganti
Jiwa ku sering saja berkata..ohh

Andai ku mampu pulang semula
Ku pasti tiada yang curiga
Kasih kan hadir
Tiada terduka
Hanya yakin menunggu
Jawapan...

Types of Graphic Design

A graphic design project may involve the presentation of existing text and image, such as with a newspaper story which begins with the journalists and photojournalists. It then becomes the graphic designer's job to organize the page into a reasonable layout and determine if any other graphic elements should be required. In a magazine article or advertisement, often the graphic designer or art director will commission photographers or illustrators to create original pieces just to be included into the design layout. Current design practice has been extended to the modern computer, for example in the use of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) user interfaces, often referred to as interactive design (IxD), or multimedia design.

Page layout
Page layout is the part of graphic design that deals in the arrangement and style treatment of elements (content) on a page. Beginning from early illuminated pages in hand-copied books of the Middle Ages and proceeding down to intricate modern magazine and catalog layouts, proper page design has long been a consideration in printed material. With print media, elements usually consist of type (text), images (pictures), and occasionally place-holder graphics for elements that are not printed with ink such as die/laser cutting, foil stamping or blind embossing.

Printmaking
Printmaking is the process of making artworks by printing, normally on paper. Except in the case of monotyping, the process is capable of producing multiples of the same pieces, which is called a print. Each piece is not a copy but an original since it is not a reproduction of another work of art and is technically known as an impression. Painting or drawing, on the other hand, creates a unique original piece of artwork. Prints are created from a single original surface, known technically as a matrix. Common types of matrices include: plates of metal, usually copper or zinc for engraving or etching; stone, used for lithography; blocks of wood for woodcuts, linoleum for linocuts and fabric plates for screen-printing. But there are many other kinds, discussed below. Works printed from a single plate create an edition; in modern times usually each signed and numbered to form a limited edition. Prints may also be published in book form, as artist's books. A single print could be the product of one or multiple techniques.

Typography
Typography is the art, craft and techniques of type design, modifying type glyphs, and arranging type. Type glyphs (characters) are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques. The arrangement of type is the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing) and letter spacing. Typography is performed by typesetters, compositors, typographers, graphic artists, art directors, and clerical workers. Until the Digital Age, typography was a specialized occupation. Digitization opened up typography to new generations of visual designers and lay users.

Web design
Graphic designers are often involved in web design. Combining visual communication skills with the interactive communication skills of user interaction and online branding, graphic designers often work with web developers to create both the look and feel of a web site and enhance the online experience of web site visitors. In the job field, many companies look for someone who can do both graphic design and the web application development involved in web design, including programming. There is a great deal of debate in the professional design community about whether this trend is positive, or if graphic designers are being over-tasked with unrelated skills and disciplines. A collaborative web-design team may split the tasks between graphic designers and software engineers.

Emilia - Big Big Girl

I'm a big big girl
In a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me
But I do do feel that
I do do will miss you much
Miss you much...

I can see the first leaf falling
It's all yellow and nice
It's so very cold outside
Like the way I'm feeling inside
I'm a big big girl
In a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me
But I do do feel that
I do do will miss you much
Miss you much...

Outside it's now raining
And tears are falling from my eyes
Why did it have to happen
Why did it all have to end
I'm a big big girl
In a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me
But I do do feel that
I do do will miss you much
Miss you much...

I have your arms around me ooooh like fire
But when I open my eyes
You're gone...

I'm a big big girl
In a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me
But I do do feel that
I do do will miss you much
Miss you much...

I'm a big big girl
In a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me
But I do feel I will miss you much
Miss you much...

Sexual Harassment at the Workplace

What is sexual harassment? Sexual harassment is unwelcome attention of a sexual nature that makes someone feel uncomfortable. In other words, sexual harassment is unwanted sex-related behavior toward someone. How about sexual harassment at the workplace? Sexual harassment at the workplace occurs when one employee makes continued or unwelcome sexual advances, or requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature, toward another employee. Furthermore, sexual harassment at the workplace is not only occurs inside the office but it also occurs outside the office, such as work-related social gathering or functions, conferences, workshop and training sessions.

Sexual harassment at the workplace is generally classified into two different categories. The first categories is sexual coercion is known as “quid pro quo” harassment. "Quid pro quo" means "this for that" or "giving something for something", which mean seeking sexual favors or advances in exchanging for work benefits. For example, the boss promises the female employee certain benefits, such as will increase her salary or promote her to be a supervisor, if she responds to his sexual advances or demands. If she refusal to do it, the boss will threat her badly or even fire her. The second categories of sexual harassment at workplace are called sexual annoyance, it is also known as “hostile work environment”. A “hostile work environment” exists when an employee experiences workplace harassment and fears going to work because of the offensive, intimidating, or oppressive atmosphere generated by the harasser. For instance, a “hostile work environment” harassment occur when the harasser makes unwelcome sexual nature, such as offensive teasing, sending pornography picture, unnecessary touching toward another employee, and cause the employee fear going to work. However, “quid pro quo” harassment and “hostile work environment” harassment will affect the victim's work performance.

Type of sexual harassment, there are 5 different types of sexual harassment. Firstly, a verbal harassment is in oral form and includes uncomfortable and offensive teasing, joking, questioning, or making suggestive comment, remarks or sounds, or even verbal whistles. Secondly, a non-verbal harassment is expressed in a non-verbal manner, such as body gestures, hand signal, lips licking or food eating and persistent flirting. Thirdly, a visual harassment is in a form of showing sexually-oriented visuals, for instance, by showing posters, drawings, photos, screen-savers or emails of a sexual nature, such as by showing a pornography picture. Fourthly, psychological harassment, psychological harassment harms a person's psychological well being and includes oppressively constant proposals for dates, repeated undesirable physical intimacy or social invitations. And lastly is physical harassment. Physical harassment involves physical contact, for instance touching or grabbing any part of a person, such as caressing, massaging, pinching, hugging, kissing, and sexual intercourse. In short, there are 5 different types of sexual harassment, which is verbal, non-verbal, visual, psychological and physical harassment.

How to confront and stop sexual harassment or harassers at workplace? There are few ways to confront and stop sexual harassment or harassers. The first way is speak up at the time. Be sure to say "NO" or “DON’T TOUCH ME” directly, clearly, firmly and without smiling to the harasser that is the best way to let the harasser know that his behavior is offensive. The second way is set your own boundaries. Say "NO" forcefully and clearly when you are asked to do something or respond to some questions or even engage in a situation that make you feel uncomfortable. The third way is be aware of situations and people who may harm you. Don't ignore any warnings about particular people or social settings. The fourth way is trust your own instincts about possible danger. In an uncomfortable situation, be direct and honest remove yourself from the situation immediately. And the last way is telling someone or report to someone. Don’t keep it to yourself. Being quiet about sexual harassment lets harasser continue.

However, the workplace should not be a sexually provocative place. Be careful of sending the wrong signals. And we should dress, behave and communicate accordingly. Furthermore, if you are harassed, don't blame yourself. Sexual harassment is not something someone "asks for" or "deserves". It is not your fault. Blame the harasser. Moreover, don't keep it to yourself and don't delay or try to out-wait the situation, being quite and delaying will only lets the harassers continue. Thus, if you need any help, feel free to contact a non-government organization or a social agency such as WAO (Women's Aid Organization). Their will definitely help you.

My presentation

My last presentation in college, as well as my last semester, I have an individual oral presentation, we need to present about current issues on human right or abuse. Before I start to do my research, I have been thinking about my presentation topic. While I have been thinking about my presentation topic, suddenly I remember I had read an article about sexual harassment. I believe that, sexual harassment topic can be very interesting because everyone can be harassed in everywhere, no matter you are a female or male, you can be one of the victims.

Since my entire classmate is going to graduate soon and will be going to step into the working world, thus, I will specific my presentation topic to “Sexual Harassment at the Workplace”, yeah… finally I got my presentation topic. I believe that, my presentation can bring up some awareness to my fellow classmate.

Redang Island

I love island. I had been to few islands, Pattaya, Bali, Langkawi, Perhentian, Lang Tengah, and Redang Island. Redang Island is one of my favors island. Redang Island is one of the largest islands off the east coast of Malaysia. It is a popular holiday island for Malaysians and foreign tourist. Redang Island is one of nine islands, which form a marine park, and which offer snorkeling and diving opportunities.

It’s good that Malaysia government has run Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia program to attract more tourists to visit Malaysia, especially Malaysia Island. But I wonder... why the governments destroy a new resort building in Redang Island, and why they destroy the new resort building during the summer season? Are u kidding me.... it’s definitely affected the tourists and the image of the state and the country as well. What is the purpose of promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia program?

However, destroy a new resort in Redang Island is illogical, come on... since the Redang Beach Resort build extra resort rooms for the tourists and to attract more tourist during the summer season. Why destroy the resort building? It’s because Redang Beach Resort breaks the government policy or didn’t own a permit or certificate to operate or its illegal building or what ever. Come on, destroy a new resort building didn’t help Malaysia earn a single cents or didn’t bring any benefit to the country. Destroy a new resort building in an island is unreasonable. Why not just make a win win situation, so that both party get what their want and we as a tourist we can enjoy it.

My part-time jobs

Currently, I have three different kind of part-time job. I work as a school bus and travel service management, freelance graphic designer and freelance beautician.

My first and the longest part-time job are school bus and travel service management. I use to have a stable part-time job in my dad company. My dad company provides school bus and travel service. I started working as a part-time secretarial and assistance in my dad company since I graduated my form five and until now, I still working in my dad company.

How about freelance graphic designer? Although I’m not a very professional graphic designer, but do I consider a freelance graphic designer? I love graphic design. And I’m interested in graphic design. Few years ago I had designed few business card and poster for my relative business. And last year, I had a group project, my classmate and I created a campaign call Dance Safe. And I designed Dance Safe logo, teaser, ticket, newsletter, registration form, souvenir book and banner. In June 2007, my aunt planned to open a beauty and health center called D’ Esprit. She asked me to help her to design her company logo, banner, buntings, name card, flyers, brochure and voucher, and she will pay me for the design. So do I consider a freelance graphic designer?

Recently, I have another part-time job, and I just started this month. Every weekend, Saturday and Sunday I work as a beautician in D’ Esprit Beauty & Health Esthetic. D’ Esprit provides many different kind of beauty and health service, such as facial treatment, eyelashes perming, embroidery, ear candling treatment, body treatment, waxing, nails, make-up and many more.

Anyway, I had three different kind of part-time job. I work as a school bus and travel service management, because it’s a family business and it’s may become my permanent job once I graduated my degree. How about my freelance graphic designer and beautician, I enjoy doing it, because I’m interested.

Definition of Graphic Design

The word Graphic Design can refer to a number of artistic, creative, imaginative and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. A graphic designer may use typography, visual arts and page layout techniques in varying degrees to produce the final result of the project. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.

Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as shapes and color which unify the piece. Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design especially when utilizing pre-existing materials or using various elements.

My blog

Finally, I have my own blog. This is my first blog and the only blog I have. I’m not a good blogger, and I’m not a good writer. I didn’t own a blog before, but I had read other people blogs.
